Galleries of real interfaces, sites and components to look at before designing your own — for style, structure and interaction, not for copying.

Start here

  • One Page Love — find single-page sites by visual style or page type, with full-page and section references.
  • A1 — compare whole sites, interior pages and sections with visual filters and measured design details.
  • Kage — start from a screenshot-backed design analysis or component, then check the original site.
  • Recent — follow current website captures and visual tags to the live source.

Patterns worth reusing

  • Compare several existing solutions to the same pattern before settling on a design, instead of designing from a blank page.
  • Follow a gallery card to the individual live site, then turn an observed composition or interaction into a decision for the project, with the example URL attached.
  • Filter simultaneously by two axes that matter in practice (e.g. site type and build platform, or style and industry) instead of one.
  • Organize a directory by stage of work (inspiration, components, build, visuals) rather than alphabetically.
  • Track "most copied" versus "most viewed" separately — it signals what inspiration actually gets used, not just looked at.
  • Flag a curated subset (an "Editor's Choice") on top of raw submission volume so quality is signaled without hiding the rest.
  • A "surprise me" random shortcut can meaningfully boost exploration time on an otherwise small gallery.
  • Describe a motion reference to an agent in beats (trigger, starting state, movement, settle) rather than as "make it feel like this app" (60fps, Collect UI).
  • Isolate one section of the page, such as the hero, so every screenshot answers the same question and comparison is fast (Supahero).
  • Tag references by their job and, separately, by their visual format, so one gallery answers both "what should it say" and "how should it look" (posts.design).
  • Give each entry a one-sentence written description and style tags so a visual gallery becomes searchable by text and readable by agents (Inspora, Recent).
  • Record references as video whenever motion is the point, since loaders, scroll choreography and section entrances disappear from a screenshot (Landing Love, Sections.wtf, Details).
  • Tag every entry with the typefaces it uses, so a site or brand gallery doubles as a type-pairing reference (SEESAW, Rebrand Gallery).
  • Keep older captures when a site is redesigned, so you can see how a brand's web presence changed (Landing Love).
  • Lock one card ratio and crop every screenshot to it, so a grid of wildly different sites still lines up: Site of Sites measured 695 by 387 and Refs.Gallery 334 by 188, both 16:9.
  • Make hierarchy with display tracking rather than weight, and leave the body ranks neutral: Refs.Gallery runs its 56px hero at weight 600 with minus 3.36px letter-spacing, about minus 0.06em.
  • Build identity from one accent used at size instead of many: Site of Sites tints large serif headings rgb(4, 0, 216) while buttons, links and body copy stay neutral.
  • Keep a two-tone ground rather than pure values, so long scrolls of screenshots do not glare: Refs.Gallery measured rgb(10, 10, 10) behind rgb(250, 250, 250).
  • Pair a heavy serif display face with a neutral sans for everything else, rather than two sans faces: Site of Sites sets headings in an extra-bold serif at 66px on a 70px line over Helvetica at 16px on a 1.3 line height.
  • Track small labels by about 0.1em so the filter chrome separates from the content: Site of Sites runs its 13px labels at 1.3px tracking in a neutral grey.
  • Serve thumbnails at the size they render, in a modern format, and let them fade in, so a heavy grid still feels light (Site of Sites).

Pitfalls

  • Screenshots belong to real products and their branding — use them for structural or stylistic reference, never copy verbatim.
  • Manual curation means links and examples go stale; treat any single directory as a starting point, not a guarantee of freshness.
  • Most galleries mix organic entries with sponsored placements — separate the two before trusting a recommendation.
  • Most inspiration galleries offer no export or MCP, but an agent with a browser can still inspect their public pages and linked sites. Published integrations can speed up discovery; they do not replace looking at the live design.
  • A gallery thumbnail may show an old version or only one viewport. Check the linked site before treating its layout, colours or behavior as current.
  • Check the newest entry before relying on a gallery for current trends; some add work only occasionally (Supahero, loadmo.re).
  • Automated access is often restricted: 60fps forbids bulk downloading and model training, Details forbids scraping and using it to train a competing model, Rebrand Gallery rules out automated collection and AI-made derivative work, and posts.design's robots.txt disallows the API its llms.txt advertises. Check the terms before scripting anything.
  • Free tiers can be tight: Motionimo allows three video detail views a day, Rebrand Gallery asks for an account to keep browsing, and Curated's section library is mostly Pro.
  • A single accent only works while it stays scarce. Reuse Site of Sites' blue for buttons and links as well as headings and the page flattens.
  • Copying a gallery's measured values without its constraints backfires: minus 0.06em suits a system sans at 56px and collides at body size or on a serif face (Refs.Gallery).
  • Cover-cropped tiles flatten sites that only work in their own viewport, and a grid of stills cannot show how a page scrolls or how a loader behaves.
  • A gallery built on a site builder brings its markup with it: reading Site of Sites' structure into a codebase is worse than copying its rules.
