What it is
Appllama is an archive of iOS app screens, onboarding and in-app flows, paywalls, UI elements and recorded walkthroughs. An app page collects those references in one place and lets you move from a named screen to its surrounding flow. The library is free to browse in a limited tier; a paid Pro plan opens the full archive and MCP access. The screens and recordings remain the property of the apps shown, and Appllama permits research and reference rather than redistribution.
When to open it
Open Appllama when a mobile interface needs a real example of an onboarding step, paywall, settings view or complete task flow. It is especially useful when you want to compare one pattern across apps or trace the colors, type and UI elements visible in a screen.
Most useful
- App pages group screens by named stage and flow, with section filters and controls for grid density.
- The inspected FamilyWall page uses an overview panel shaped like a perforated ticket: the app identity and screenshot strip sit beside large revenue, download and rating figures, separated from metadata by a dotted edge.
- Opening a screen shows a phone-sized image beside a detail panel with video chapters, palette swatches, font names and links to related UI elements.
- A recorded screen can reveal motion and transition timing that a static capture cannot; screen details provide a useful route from one visual to adjacent patterns.
Using it with agents
Appllama offers a remote MCP server for agents on Pro plans, with search across apps, screens, flows and UI elements. Free access exposes welcome screens and a small rotating selection of full apps. The terms prohibit bulk extraction and other automated access outside the supported MCP; use the archive to answer a specific design question and keep retrieved media for immediate study.
Watch out for
- Many later screens and flows are locked on the free tier, and the available free examples rotate as new apps arrive.
- The app designs and screen recordings belong to their respective creators; do not reuse them as assets or redistribute the archive.
- Revenue, ratings, downloads and prices change. Treat the displayed figures as snapshots from their stated period.

- Keep app context, screen previews and flow navigation connected so a designer can move from one screen to the journey around it.
- Pair short video chapters with meaningful transition labels to make a long recording scannable.
- Surface the colors and type used by a screen alongside the capture when those details are useful for visual analysis.
