What it is
The Annual is UNSW Art & Design's 2025 graduate showcase. Its home page has a black navigation bar, multicolour mark, full-width artwork imagery and a bright yellow exploration button. The Explore page opens a catalogue with filters for degree, discipline and student name. At review, the home page said it presented 170 graduating artists, designers and makers. Individual project pages combine student writing with images; the landing-page identity and student projects are different things to study.
When to open it
Open it when you want a reference for a visual graduate-show landing page that quickly hands off to a name- and discipline-based archive, or to find student work across fine art, design and making.
Most useful
- Explore the showcase: opens the searchable catalogue.
- Degree and discipline filters: narrow the cohort before scanning names.
- Name search: find a graduate directly; the list also loads more results.
- Individual project pages: Aarhon Silver's Feeling Anxious? There that's Better. is a verified example with an artist statement, degree and several images of a mixed-media installation.
Using it with agents
No MCP, API, CLI or agent guide surfaced in the show pages at review; a direct /llms.txt request returned 404. Use the browser filters to find a project, then provide its URL and a text brief that identifies the catalogue interaction or visual decision you want to study.
Watch out for
- This is the 2025 edition; event dates and the claimed graduate count are specific to that year.
- The hero depends on large visual media and may take time to appear or remain blank in a limited browser view.
- UNSW says content has varied copyright owners. Only University-owned material clearly identified as such may be reused under its stated conditions; other work is look-only without the owner's permission.
Reusable ideas
- Put a single, high-contrast action over the show imagery to make the catalogue's entry point obvious.
- Use a small set of meaningful filters before the long student list, then keep the list alphabetically scannable.
- Give project pages room for both authored context and visual documentation of the work.
