What it is
Web Design Clip is a Japanese-language directory of website references. Its top-level collections separate Japanese sites, international sites, landing pages and smartphone sites. The Japanese index pairs screenshot cards with the live-site URL and filters for color, layout, business category and technology. The home page showed 6,389 entries at review.
When to open it
- When you need Japanese-language references or want to compare Japanese work with the separate international collection.
- When a brief already names a business category or a color direction and you want to scan live examples quickly.
- When you are planning a landing page or mobile-first site and want a dedicated collection rather than a responsive toggle on each result.
Most useful
- Use Japan for the Japanese index, World, Landing Page or Smartphone for the other top-level collections.
- On the Japanese index, combine main and secondary colors with one of six layout types, then narrow by business category or implementation tag. Search and filters are available from the homepage; no deeper filter route was needed during review.
- The SUI – RAGDOLL live site was inspected at review. It arranges cat photographs as loose, layered instant-print frames on a pale field, with paw marks and a small date display. Its card in the gallery links the capture to the original site.
- Treat the card as a shortlist: open the live page to check how its imagery, type and motion behave now.
Using it with agents
No MCP, API, llms.txt or agent export was visible on the reviewed pages. An agent can search or filter the ordinary website, collect a short list, open the linked live sites and describe the visible design decisions. Most navigation and category labels are Japanese, so translate labels only as needed and keep the original category meaning intact.
Watch out for
- The Japanese index is broad and includes sponsored placements between reference cards.
- The World, Landing Page and Smartphone collections are separate sites. Reapply any filter assumptions when moving between them.
- The site does not state a general reuse licence for its screenshots or the websites it indexes. Use them as look-only references.
Reusable ideas
