What it is
Siteinspire is a curated gallery of website screenshots with a link to each featured live site. The gallery organizes work through separate style, type, subject and platform filters. Open a detail page to see its tags, credits and related sites, then follow the outbound link to study the original website. The gallery page and the sites it features are different design references: use the latter for visual study.
When to open it
Use it when you want to browse by a visible design quality—such as typography, minimalism, grid layout, greyscale or unusual layout—and compare that trait across real projects. For a brutalist direction, it does not expose a dedicated Brutalist style in the available style filters; try Greyscale and Unusual Layout as adjacent filters, then judge each result on its own instead of assuming it is brutalist.
Most useful
- Start at Greyscale Websites, then use the filter tabs to combine style with type or subject. The live gallery currently surfaces tags including Typographic, Minimal, Grid Layout and Unusual Layout alongside the selected style.
- The This Brutal House record demonstrates how a detail page links to a featured site and related examples. It was published in 2014, so treat it as an archive pointer and check whether the original site is still live before relying on it.
- Open individual gallery entries to compare the captured composition with the current site. Study the layout, type scale, image-to-text balance, colour, spacing and interactions; treat names, copy and subject matter as incidental to your design question.
- Use creator profiles and the related-sites list to follow a visual thread when one reference is close but not quite right.
- A large archive includes older captures. Prefer recently added examples when you need current interaction patterns.
Using it with agents
The website supports ordinary browser search and category filters, and its pages expose screenshots and links to featured sites.
