What it is

An English-language gallery focused on Japanese websites. At review, its home page grouped picks under six visual moods—Elegant, Kawaii, Messy, Modern, Quirky and Trendy—and paired cards with short commentary. The About page identifies the publisher as Netwise and says it works in Japan; the featured sites themselves are the visual examples.

When to open it

  • When you want a Japanese-site shortlist framed by an editorial point of view rather than only industry or implementation tags.
  • When you want English descriptions to help scan Japanese-language examples.
  • When a mood label such as Kawaii or Quirky is a useful first filter for a visual search.

Most useful

  • Start at the gallery and select a mood filter, then open an individual record and follow its Visit site link. The current archive includes POP IS YOU SAKAE 2026, whose live page combines multilingual event branding, a program, schedule and venue map.
  • Read the gallery's note as a quick editorial prompt, then inspect the linked live site to confirm its composition and interaction yourself.

Using it with agents

No MCP, API, llms.txt or agent export was visible at review. An agent can use the visible mood filters and follow each card to the live source. The gallery is an index; describe design details from the source page, not the card alone.

Watch out for

  • This overlaps with Japanese archives such as 81-web, MUUUUU.ORG and Web Design Clip. Its distinct value is the English-language mood taxonomy and concise commentary; use those other archives when you need denser metadata or more filter dimensions.
  • The gallery's own editorial opinion is separate from the featured site's design and ownership.
  • No reuse licence for gallery material or featured-site assets was stated. Treat them as look-only references.

Reusable ideas

  • Let a small set of readable mood labels act as a quick entry point into a larger archive.
  • Place a short observation beside each source link so a card conveys more than its thumbnail.
  • Keep the path to the actual website explicit, allowing the viewer to distinguish a gallery preview from a live design.
