What it is ​

Icoon is a paid library of AI-generated design assets made by Solt Wagner and built on Framer. Despite the name, it is not a generator you prompt: you browse and download finished images. The sitemap listed about 1,500 asset pages at review, grouped into 31 collections. Most are 3D icon sets in a single colour treatment (dark and orange, orange, blue metal, chrome, dark chrome, realistic, playful, sneakers, a Ghibli-style set, mystic magic). There are also 3D and flat characters, avatar portraits, isometric icons, abstract shapes, a fluffy 3D typeface, fluffy animals, 3D buildings, and editable PSD mockups for iPhone and Apple Studio Display. Icons and shapes come as 2048×2048 transparent PNGs, and some character sets are SVG.

When to open it ​

  • When a landing page or onboarding flow needs a set of matching glossy 3D icons and you can accept AI-rendered art.
  • When you want a large bundle of 3D spot illustrations for a one-time fee rather than a subscription.

Most useful ​

  • Colour-matched collections: sets like the 153-icon dark and orange pack or the 146-icon orange pack keep lighting and palette consistent across many subjects.
  • Large transparent PNGs that are easy to scale down for feature grids, empty states and hero art.
  • Freebies page to test the quality before paying.
  • Download all: Pro can grab whole collections in one click and keep the files forever.
  • Icon requests through support, according to the FAQ.

Using it with agents ​

There is no API, npm package, MCP server or llms.txt. Download the PNGs you need, add them to the repo with meaningful file names and alt text, and have the agent reference them as local images. These are raster renders, so an agent cannot recolour them the way it could edit an SVG icon.

Watch out for ​

  • The "Mockup Generator" link in the header goes to a different product on another domain.
  • The Updates page last changed on June 1, 2025, and the footer still says © 2025, so new collections may have stopped. The asset counts also vary between pages (1,350, 1,448 and "1500+").
  • The licence keeps ownership with Icoon, bans reselling or sharing the files, can be revoked, and promises no refunds. It does not say how AI generation affects copyright.
  • Rendered 3D images are heavy and fixed-angle. They suit marketing art, not a UI icon system.

Reusable ideas ​

  • Group AI-generated icons by one colour and material treatment so a whole set looks lit by the same light.
  • Keep a dated public updates log with collection and asset counts.
  • Offer a meaningful free subset on its own page so buyers can check quality before paying once.
