What it is
Httpster is a long-running gallery of website references. At review it listed 3,116 featured sites. Its white home page has a rounded grey Styles/Types bar, a large sans-serif heading and a three-column grid of large site captures. The listings link out to the original websites.
The Styles filter includes visual directions such as Brutalist, Minimal, Photographic, Typographic, Responsive, Interactive and Unusual Layout. Types include areas such as Ecommerce, Architecture & Industrial Design, Art & Photography, and Design & Illustration. These two axes help you search by either how a site looks or what it is for.
The live Drams site is one useful example: its minimal navigation sits above a large orange panel on white, with an oversized grey headline. Study that live page separately from the gallery's own captures and grid.
