What it is
Yalqen is an open-source Chromium-based browser for macOS. Its product page uses a sky-blue, cloud-filled hero with large serif type, then lets visitors interact with demonstrations of shortcuts, vertical tabs, privacy settings, developer tools and other browser features.
When to open it
Open the page when a software site needs to explain a desktop product through in-place demos instead of a long sequence of static screenshots. It is especially useful for studying a calmer, editorial direction for developer tools.
Most useful
- Try the shortcut tabs in the feature section: the selected shortcut changes the accompanying explanation and product view.
- The privacy section shows settings as controls in a realistic browser panel, making the switches and their consequences visible together.
- Compare the large white serif headline against the soft blue sky artwork, then see how the rest of the site shifts to smaller sans-serif labels for navigation and interface details.
- Follow the linked GitHub repository to inspect its MIT licence and distinguish project code from third-party filter lists, the product name and logo.
Using it with agents
No MCP, CLI, public agent skill or confirmed root llms.txt was available at review. The source repository and its release notes are public, but they do not provide an agent-facing design catalogue. Use a browser to inspect the live demonstrations.
Watch out for
- The product is for macOS; its page is a visual reference for browser and developer-tool marketing, not a cross-platform browser interface.
- The repository's MIT licence does not cover every bundled filter list, the brand name or logo. It also does not establish rights to copy the website's illustrations.
- The site's dark-mode control can change the page's presentation; check both themes before taking visual notes.
Reusable ideas
- Make each product feature an interaction the visitor can try, then explain the selected state beside the demo.
- Use an expressive hero for brand character and reserve the denser type and controls for realistic product panels.
- Keep theme switching visible and let the whole product story remain legible in both palettes.
