What it is
Shapefest is a library of rendered 3D illustrations made as a visual system: the shapes share camera, lighting, and material treatment across each collection. Its material collections cover clay, plastic, glass, and metal; separate packs group geometry, hands, letters, objects, and isometric illustrations.
When to open it
Open the Neon Glass collection to study the blue-violet translucent forms: a cone, connected atom-like spheres, nested blocks, stacked discs, and a spring rendered against black. This is a useful reference for hero art, feature illustrations, or a dark product surface that needs one consistent 3D vocabulary. For softer, more neutral scenes, compare the Clay Design packs.
Most useful
- Material collections let you keep a consistent finish while changing the subject, from simple spheres and blocks to complete object families.
- Floating and isometric compositions provide different camera languages for hero artwork, feature cards, and compact illustrations.
- Individual pack pages show object counts, camera angles, resolution, and licence; free packs are available as 512px images, with 3,000px downloads sold separately or through All Access.
Using it with agents
There is no published MCP, API, CLI, or agent skill for the library. An agent can still use the stable collection or pack links as a visual brief: specify the material, camera, background, and intended scale, then select a pack and check its licence before using the downloaded file.
Watch out for
- The rendered images are raster PNGs, so they do not provide a live 3D model for changing the camera or materials.
- The free 512px tier may be too small for large hero art or print. Check the exact pack page for its download resolution and price.
- Commercial+ allows the image as part of a new design, but not as a standalone asset or competing asset library. The licence agreement describes the conditions for commercial templates and UI kits.
Reusable ideas
- Keep lighting, camera angle, scale, and shadow consistent across a group of objects so unrelated illustrations still read as one system.
- Separate material families into clear collections; users can decide on a finish before searching for a subject.
- Use black negative space and saturated edge lighting to make neon glass forms legible without adding interface chrome around them.
