What it is ​

Browse.cool is a curated gallery of websites chosen for their type, colour, layout, shapes, motion and overall feel, made in Framer by the curator "aaali" (äli), who also runs wwwtf.site and Sections.wtf. It is labelled beta. At review time it held 25 sites and 194 "shots", which are screenshots and short clips taken from those sites, and a weekly newsletter had started in July 2026.

When to open it ​

When you are setting the visual tone for a brand, studio or product site and want high-craft references with strong typography and editorial layouts, not a broad catalogue.

Most useful ​

  • Shots view: all 194 captures in one grid with small, medium and large sizes and a shuffle button, handy for quick mood-boarding.
  • Per-site pages: each site groups its own shots, so you can see how one design system holds across pages.
  • Type-led picks: several entries are type foundry or type specimen sites (Departure Mono, GT Mechanik, Pangram Pangram's Frama), plus agency and studio sites such as Locomotive and Obys.
  • Motion references: some shots are short videos rather than stills, which helps when judging scroll or hover behaviour.

Using it with agents ​

No export, feed, llms.txt or API. Save a few shots as a mood board and describe the type pairing, spacing and colour to your agent, or point it at the live site for a manual style read; do not ask it to copy the site.

Watch out for ​

  • A very small, early collection with no filters or tags yet, even though it describes its picks in terms of fonts, colours and shapes.
  • /about and /submit returned 404 at review time, and there is no stated submission process.
  • Screenshots are of other people's work and carry no reuse rights.

Reusable ideas ​

  • Offer a flat "shots" wall next to the per-site view, so visitors can browse by detail rather than by site.
  • Add a shuffle control to surface older entries in a small archive.
  • Use short clips for motion and stills for layout within the same grid.
